1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 lions.

Sunday 30th June

Another huge day today. 8am start but it was daylight when we got up. Our drive started out with hyenas - quite a large family of them. They are sort of ugly cute.

Young hyena.

Poser.

Brothers waiting for lunch.

Warthog - pumbas

Impala

Nine lions - one lion asleep under a tree after a belly full of wildebeest (the remains nearby), then 2 females on the hunt (fail), then 2 males sitting on rocks just watching the world go by and waiting for their women to bring dinner, a female perched on top of the rocks just surveying her surrounds, then another 2 males taking in the shade under a big tree,  and finally another female on the hunt for food. Lots of other animal sightings though only a very long distance cheetah, and a well camouflaged leopard up a tree.

Another picnic lunch which have so far been very good - plenty of choices in the box. At the lunch place there is a sort of Serengeti discovery centre and we had a guide give us some information regarding the Serengeti.

Another excellent dinner - and we are so well looked after. Waited on - just ask and it will happen.
