Our trip here was 14 hours to Doha then 6 hours to Paris. That first leg was almost unbearable - 2 babies that took it in turns to scream all the way to Doha. So, how much is it to upgrade to business class? I'll be seriously considering it next time.
We had 3 hours in Doha - enough time for a nice coffee and cake, then back on the plane to Paris. I don't know how it happens but our flight changes always seem to have us walk from one end of the airport to the far end for our next flight. I must say though that we were quite impressed with the meals on the plane.
Arriving in Paris - immigration was so quick and easy. They have a special lane for Australians with electronic passports. We thought we were going really well until the long wait for suitcases. I think mine was last off the plane.
We took a taxi to our hotel - they have set standard fares so you at least know the upfront cost.
A dreary day in Paris, only 13deg. Our hotel is in the middle of quite a lot of restaurants and a large shopping centre over the road. We walked around the block last night and had dinner at a Chinese restaurant. We expected a lot more chinese restaurants than we saw but maybe we didn't do a big enough block. There was a huge park around the corner from the hotel with beautiful gardens and a large fountain. A few tulips to be seen but I think they are nearly done for the year.
No photos yet - too tired last night to get the camera out.
Here is your dog of the day photo though - Meg having her last supper before we headed for the airport.
