Plane watching

Tuesday 6th May

Today we have travelled to Charles de Gaulle airport to see Kerry on her way. But first via a patchwork and wool shop in the nearby town of Vernon. I'm sharing the love around and left there with a couple of balls of sock wool. Same sort of prices at home, and made in Italy. 

We took a long and looping route to the airport to keep us away from the busy peripherique around the north of Paris. Was mostly through open farming country until we got within 30k and then it was a mix of busy towns and motorways. We were both dreading getting to the hotel as our last trip the roads around the airport were undergoing roadwork and it was awful. Thankfully our fears weren't realised and we arrived here with no problems.

We have been relaxing in our hotel room watching the planes fly past our window. Now we are heading out for dinner. Kerry leaves the hotel at 7.30am for the airport, then we will head off east towards the Alps.
