Back to Trento today to visit the science museum. This is relatively new and is an interactive museum with a lot of activities for kids. Probably like Scienceworks in Melbourne, but I've never been there. There were a lot of kids there today so not sure if it is school holidays, or just normal. We spent a couple of hours there.
We could see this palazzo from the roof of the science museum. |
They had some beautiful stuffed animals. Lots on display, and lots in storage. |
Hoot, to whoo. |
Matthew - one for you. We are still looking to see a deer in the wild. |
These owls seem to be looking straight at you. |
Flowers in their rainforest exhibit. |
Lunch and then we paid a visit to the pits area for the hillclimb tomorrow. Rob wandered the pits area for an hour or so before we headed for home. Rob got talking to a guy in the pits who has been European hillclimb champion 9 times since 2005. The course is 17.3k long and has over 100 corners, most of them hairpins (tornante in Italian). The course record is 9 minutes held by the guy, Simone Faggioli, set in 2017.
Nearly an oops on the way home - found ourselves at the entrance to the autostrada. Fortunately not too much traffic headed on to the autostrada so we were able to back up and do a u-turn.
I loved these little fiats. They had the boots propped open to help cool the engines. |
This one belongs to Simone Faggioli. |
